As you know, I’ve been finding it difficult to find the inspiration to write over the past few weeks. My posts have been rather sporadic and short (and pardon me for not responding to your comments too).
I’m glad that I gave myself a break. I guess sometimes we get so caught up with doing that we forget to be. We all need to pause from time to time and give our souls a break!
What does that mean, you ask? Just spending time with yourself and catching up with things you like to do but have been putting off – things that make your soul feel good. Just simple stuff, really. For me it means , at this time it means(in no order of priority):
- Spending less time on the internet.
- Reading a lot more and enjoying it.
- Spending more time talking to significant people in my life.
- Sleeping more.
- Dreaming more
- Enjoying being ME.
If the sight of the blue skies fills you with joy, if a blade of grass springing up in the fields has power to move you, if the simple things of nature have a message that you understand, rejoice, for your soul is alive. – Eleonora Duse
During this time, I’ve realized that, subconsciously, I was allowing ‘Everyday Gyaan’ to define me – and that I realize is no good. To have oneself defined by work, status, possessions, etc is definitely not good. I’m glad that I no longer feel the pressure to ‘have to’ post something each day. Rather than just posting, I want to be writing from the heart and sharing from within……
So I’ll be off from time to time on a soul break – allowing the simple things like the clouds, the day to day events of my life to inspire me. After all that’s what Everyday Gyaan is about!
When did you last give your soul a break? And what does that mean to you? Do share……..
May you be inspired – everyday!
