The world needs dreamers and the world needs doers. But above all, the world needs dreamers who do. ~ Sarah Ban Breathnach
One of my dreams has been to make Everyday Gyaan a community of inspirational writers. I have been dreaming, but didn’t have the courage to act on this dream. However, my vision board at the start of the year has been spurring me on. As I wrote in ‘A Thousand New Roads’ it seems like once I’ve started to open my mind things have started to fall in to place.
- Drive a car
- Write and publish several books
- Go back to doing a regular course in psychology
- Do a photography course
- Do a course in yoga
- Go for Vipassana meditation
- Start a movement to foster self-esteem in young women
- Undertake an adventurous journey
What stops me from doing all of this? Fears? Maybe. Not believing in myself? That too. Not trusting in the abundance of the Universe? Yes!
“The world is full of abundance and opportunity, but far too many people come to the fountain of life with a sieve instead of a tank car… a teaspoon instead of a steam shovel. They expect little and as a result they get little.” Ben Sweetland
It’s time for me to lose the sieve and the teaspoon and start claiming more abundance and opportunity. Here’s an example of what happens when I do that. A couple of days back, while writing my post on authenticity, I was looking at material from Mike Robbins which I linked to my post. Now Mike is a best-selling author and writes on Oprah’s site. I decided to be bold ask him if I could interview him for Everyday Gyaan. And he most graciously said ‘Yes.’ So, very soon Mike Robbins is going to be visiting this space folks! (Insert happy dance here!)
What have you been only dreaming of, but not doing?
May you be inspired – every day!
