Green mangoes freshly picked off a tree in my grandparents house – cut in to slices and sprinkled with salt and chilli powder.
Muskmelon custard made by Mum, transferred to an ice-cream pail to be churned. All the children took turns at churning and then fought over who got to lick the ice cream off the churning gadget – one of the cousins christened it the ‘fan belt.’
Mornings spent scouring magazines for the names of movies that could be used later that evening to fox the other team in a game of charades.
Summer memories are made of these.
I have fond memories of summer holidays spent at my grandparents’ home in Hyderabad.
What are you ‘summer memories’?
May you be inspired – every day!
