Living My Dream

black 15 Living My DreamSend to Kindle

I am living my dream.

For as long as I can remember, my dream consisted of Words.
Collecting them.
Reading them.
Writing them.
Speaking them.
And why, yes, even selling them.
I dreamt of owning my own book store.
I dreamt of having countless books to read.
I dreamt of speaking before large audiences.
I dreamt of writing and publishing my words.
I don’t own the books shop. But all the other dreams around Words have come true.
Words have come to be a part of my reality today.

I am living my dream.

About Corinne Rodrigues

I write because I hope that my words will bring pleasure, inspire or make you question something, just as the words of so many writers do to me. I don't profess to have any answers, I just share from my own experiences and often bring you my own struggles with thoughts, ideas and situations. Today I seek to live life of that is simple, authentic and holistic. I write at Everyday Gyaan and share a blog called From 7Eight with my husband, José and our boxer dog, Pablo.

  2. Acknowledging that as a dream took a long time for me…it didn’t fit into what I had been taught went in the dream box. Outside the lines. But I love it. And I agree with Linda…always more fun with friends!

  5. Well written Corinne!

You sure have a hidden poet under you it seems, and of course the writer who is busy weaving awesome posts every single day! :)

I wish we all could really live our dreams and enjoy doing what we are doing. That I feel is the most important – isn’t it? To enjoy what you do and do it to the best of your ability. That’s what I believe in.

Thanks for sharing, and hope you live your dream right through. :)

  11. Oh, I wish you WOULd open that book store. I’m a real believer that as ebooks take off, independent bookstores are actually going to make a comeback as there are still those like me who prefer a real page to turn.

  12. This is wonderful! It’s not every day one has their dream come true. Keep on dreaming about that bookstore.

  13. I think anyone can make their dreams come true, realistic dreams, as long as they work hard to achieve them. :o )

I love my current life, but it’s not my dream (I have a lot to go in life, I guess that’s how it is, especially since I am just starting with my life).

I am thankful to God for my current life (but I am not very happy about it, since I know that there are lot of people out there who can’t afford basic necessities such as food or shelter and I know I can do a lot to change those situation – to help people. That’s my dream :D ).

Thanks for the inspirational and thoughtful post, Corinne :)
