Once the Spanish exams are over, we certainly need to make time for more important things – of top priority being health and exercise. I’m hoping to learn (third attempt) swimming. Wish me luck!
Talking about time, I came across this beautiful piece by Hafiz:
Now is the time to know
That all that you do is sacred.
Now is the time to understand
That all your ideas of right and wrong
Were just a child’s training wheels
To be laid aside
When you finally live
Now is the time for the world to know
That every thought and action is sacred.
This is the time for you to compute the impossibility
That there is anything
Now is the season to know
That everything you do
And I ask myself:
- Do I realize that everything I do is sacred? If I truly realize this, I’ll value my time even more and prioritize things better. Also, I’ll find meaning even in the most tedious chore.
- Am I living with veracity (I’m taking it to mean ‘integrity’) and love? I still have a long way to go….but I do know that I have started that journey……
