I used to pride myself on the fact that I didn’t need an afternoon nap. And since I was working, until a few years ago, I didn’t have that luxury. When we got married, José would take a nap and I’d be at the computer or reading….I thought it was a waste of time. But over the last year, I’ve find that I need a nap real bad and if, like today, I don’t have one, my eyes start to hurt and I feel really tired…..Thank God, we can afford to get a nap most afternoons.
Thinking about this with gratitude today, I also remembered a quote I had read a while back:
Think what a better world it would be if we all, the whole world, had cookies and milk about three o’clock every afternoon and then lay down on our blankets for a nap. ~ Robert Fulghum
Do you see any value in a nap and do you take one regularly?
