As February unfolds, I find myself drawn to a theme that has been resonating deeply within me: living a life of depth. In a fast-paced world, I’m slowing down to prioritize deeper learning, meaningful reflection, and a stronger connection to myself.

Focusing on a Life of Depth
This is my plan for February:
More Focused Reading
Books have always been a source of wisdom and transformation for me, but this month, I want to be even more intentional about my reading choices. Instead of skimming through articles or rushing through pages, I aim to immerse myself fully in each book, absorbing its insights and allowing them to shape my thoughts and actions. I want to engage with ideas that challenge me, inspire me, and push me toward personal growth.
I’m working on completing How To Walk Into A Room that I mentioned last month, and have started The Sugar Jar by Yasmine Cheyenne (affiliate link).

Deeper Writing and Journaling
Writing has long been a tool for self-discovery, but I want to move beyond simply documenting my days. This month, I will explore deeper journaling—writing not just about what happens but about what it means. I want to ask myself bigger questions, uncover hidden patterns in my thinking, and express myself with greater honesty. This practice will not only help me process my emotions, but also refine my understanding of who I am becoming.
More Quiet Time for Reflection and Prayer
In the rush of daily life, it’s easy to let moments of stillness slip away. But I want to reclaim those sacred pauses. Whether through meditation, prayer, or simply sitting in silence, I plan to cultivate more moments of quiet. This is where true wisdom often emerges—not in the noise, but in the stillness. It’s in these moments that I reconnect with my purpose and listen to the whispers of my soul.
A Renewed Focus on Health
A life of depth cannot flourish without a sound foundation, and that includes physical health. This month, I will be more mindful of how I care for my body—nourishing it with better food, engaging in movement that strengthens me, and prioritizing rest. True wellness is not just about looking good or meeting fitness goals; it’s about feeling vibrant, energized, and capable of fully engaging in life.

Embracing This Journey
This February, I am committing to a journey of depth—of seeking meaning over mere motion, of embracing stillness over mindless busyness, and of cultivating a richer, more intentional way of living. It won’t always be easy, but I know that in choosing depth, I am choosing a more authentic and fulfilling life.
I invite you to join me on this journey. What areas of your life are calling for more depth? How can you slow down and engage more meaningfully with yourself and the world around you? Let’s walk this path together.

My WOTY is ‘mental quiet’, Corinne. Remember? You once said that the WOTY comes to you and conveys its message to you in many forms and ways through out the year. This article of yours did that to me exactly! It brought back my WOTY when I was kind of stopped applying it.
And you defined ‘ journaling’ beautifully – “Not just writing about what happens but about what it means…”
As always, enjoyed reading every bit of the article, Corinne.
I love your focus on depth, Corinne! It’s such a beautiful counterweight to how we often go through life skimming the surface of many things, not leaving time to go deep on anything. I hope it’s been going well for you!
There is always something to learn from your writing, Corinne. My take away from this post is – ‘True wellness is not just about looking good or meeting fitness goals; it’s about feeling vibrant, energized, and capable of fully engaging in life.’ This is the area I need to focus at the moment.
I hope February went as you planned, Corinne. As I read this post, I felt a sense of calm. I hope your days continue to be filled with deeper learning, meaningful reflection, and a stronger connection to yourself.
