Bookworm Paradise

I love books! What else is new?

I also love collecting pictures of bookshelves, because being surrounded by books makes me happy!

Let me invite you today to Bookworm Paradise!

The ultimate for a bookworm is to have books to read while have a long and luxurious soak in a tub! Believe me, it’s divine. When I was about ten, we lived in a large bungalow and I had one massive bathroom, complete with an old-fashioned bathtub. During the summer holidays, I would sneak in a book, fill up the tub and soak while I read! Times have changed, but I can still dream of this happening again, can’t I? While I’m dreaming,  it wouldn’t hurt to look at these:

While I’ve moved on to reading my Kindle in bed, I’m not averse to having bookshelves in my bedroom. Sample these dream bedrooms:

Fancy a book nook? I think it’s the stuff that a bookworm’s dreams are made of! Take your pick.

I hope you have as much looking at these as I did putting this post together. Which one of them would you like for your home?

  1. Drool, drool!

I have a collection of bookshelf pictures and none of these are in it, can you imagine? So I can get my revenge 😀

But seriously, I would like one of these for my birthday. Yes.

At the very least we could get away somewhere where we can soak in a bathtub and read no? 😀

Love the post. Like a mini-vacation to see the pictures, Corinne!

  2. These are nice collections of shelves. The rooms are brightly lit with knowledge and look comfortably inviting too. We have a a library like study in our home which is over-flowing with books(our fav spot in home)… awesome collection! Btw never thought of reading in bathtub- sounds cool!!!

  3. I have my own collection of book shelf pics and used to drool at them for hours at times. But when I make my home, there’s definitely gonna be a book nook. Fingers Crossed! 🙂

  4. OH!! I just loved these!! Tempting! I am surely going have one of these in my home! Part of Paradise right in my home! <3

  5. Your favourite is my fav too 🙂 The other two book-nooks are quite cool too! Though I am not so cool with the idea of books in the bathroom. I am also a bit wary of using books more as a decorating prop, which I see often being encouraged in design magazines etc. Books are meant to be used as books – to be opened, read, re-read, devoured, and taken care of. Not simply decorated.
What a wonderful co-incidence, today I too did a post on books!

  6. I love ALL of those! But my favourite is the one in the green nook as long as there is a big window opposite facing a treed garden! So I can look/read close on the book and look far in the distance at a beautiful view. By the way, HOW does one read a book in a bathtub and not get it wet? I never read or read in a bathtub…curious… 😉 <3

  7. Lovely pictures. I’m dreaming of transforming my reading room at the moment and am collecting images on Pinterest. I need to find a way of displaying all the books I’m still meaning to read!
