The holiday season can be a mixed bag of emotions, influenced by various factors. Perhaps it begins with the commercialization of Christmas. This early push to embrace the festive spirit may contribute to a sense of overwhelm. Additionally, family gatherings, while capable of bringing great joy, can also bring out challenging dynamics. It’s often hard to get through the Christmas Season with calm.
Reflecting on personal experiences, I recall the anticipation and happiness of Christmas during my childhood. The prospect of spending a few days with my grandparents, aunts and uncles and cousins was a source of excitement. Adulthood has brought a deeper understanding of the complexities that can arise during these reunions. The dynamics of family interactions, turned what was once pure joy into a more nuanced and occasionally challenging experience.
Although, in recent years, I’ve just avoided these gatherings altogether, I decided to put together some affirmations to get through the Christmas season.

Hi Corrine, I have never been good at time management, beyond faking it, or doing it just well enough to keep my head above water in full time ministry. I haven’t written a post since September, or read one. Your post of 25 Affirmations about Christmas looked like a good place to connect and I have shared this post on my Facebook Page. Blessings for the remainder of Advent and the Days of Christmas ahead. I hope all is well, Michele
