Oops!! 😛
Is that true …about gifting clothes??
Seemed to have worked! 😉
lovely thoughts
At least she could have been out much earlier
Good one
Yes. But isn’t she lucky she bought those clothes? 😉
Hi Corinne,
Good to see you back here after long, and I hope your challenge went off well too 🙂
Ah…Debbie seems to have started this…nice one on regrets…you got this one for sure 🙂
Thanks for sharing 🙂
Yes, Harleena, the challenge was great because I connected with so many lovely bloggers. But I did miss this space. I’m not sure if Debbie meant us to be serious, but I couldn’t resist being naughty here! I hope all is well with you.
Just wondering how true that could be. Just curious you know.
Which part are you wondering about, Viren? The superstition or the story? 😉
She’s absolutely my kind of woman 🙂 Love her 🙂
Glad you do, Sri! 😉
Hahaha! Good one, Corinne. I always buy hubby’s clothes, (I swear he’s colour blind!), and we’ve been married 40 years, so, hopefully it’s not true. 😉 Thanks for joining the hop. Cheers!
I don’t believe in the superstition either, Debbie. Just that it seemed to work in this story! 🙂
That was a naughty one, Corinne! Ah, I was wondering if it was trueeeee!!! And slightly petrified too. 😛 😛 But Debbie’s comment was a life saver. 🙂
Wondering if the clothes buying was true, or the story, Punam? 😉
So that’s what went wrong! I’ve always wondered. Just kidding. I hate buying clothes even for myself. Great take on the prompt.
Now you know, Galen! We live and learn, don’t we? 😉 I’m a poor shopper too!
Clothes one, Corinne 🙁
Nah, Punam. It’s mere superstition, of course!
He buys his own clothes.Just saying ..
Great story on the prompt Corinne ,loved it 😀
Just as well! 😉 Glad you liked it, Sharmila.
What an ungrateful man, letting a woman dress him up and finding another to undress him. Tsk tsk.
AJ! I never thought of it that way – am grinning here! 😉
Haha! A good one ! I liked the very ending. 🙂
I liked it too, Jessica. Should have come earlier though! 😉
That was very funny Corinne and very very good ! I should learn from that 😉
Buy the clothes early to check, Melissa! 😉
Never heard of that. Is that true? Still, if that happened to me, I would seriously have regretted what i did.
I don’t believe in the superstition about clothes, Anne. But seriously, she was glad it happened! 😉
Honestly,had never heard this before.
Someone like me,after reading this, would always keep this in mind.
Why take a chance?
Are you superstitious Mr Chowla? I would never have guessed. 🙂
Nooooooo…. I don’t believe in that superstition either 😛
Ah! But it worked in this case – thank God! 😉
I think she should be glad that probably it was her choice of clothes that got him noticed 😛
She’s better off on her own than a cheating partner 🙂
Oh yes, she didn’t realize the depth of her own wisdom, perhaps! 😉
LOL! That was a tongue-in-cheek response alright… In btw, cheating is a overrated concept…just as I find monogamy. Can’t we love more than one person? Why Love Capitalism?
Interesting, Bhavana. Personally, I don’t subscribe to anything other than monogamy – emotional or physical. But each to her/his own. But I’m sure you wouldn’t think it fair if one partner thinks they’re in a monogamous relationship and the other does not clarify that s/he thinks differently!
Whoa what an imagination Corinne 🙂
You surprised me pleasantly with that one… and I also did nt know about that clothes thing.. and am relieved to read it is not true!
What makes you think there’s any imagination involved, Privy? 😉
C L E V E R ! X
Better than the dog at the airport, you think? 😉
hehe That was a great reply :).
Glad you liked it, Rachna.
Interesting!
I kinda agree…if someone shows fondness for another person, and that individual does not…true feelings do tend to come out especially if the display of affection is happening…
Hmmm…Yes, finally the real feelings have to show all around, Ruchira.
Love this, Corinne! Good twist at the end. 🙂
Blessings, my friend!
Thanks, Martha. Oh I just couldn’t resist that! 😉
well! good for her!! She got out of the relationship..
I wonder if the clothes gifting thingy is true?! Hmmm…
Beautifully written 🙂
Ha ha 😀 good one Corinne
Hahaha….LOL….good one, Corinne 🙂
This one is soooooooooooooooo good Corinne. Loved it! what a weave in so little. And I should buy all my friends clothes, I’ll get to know all their secrets 😛

Hope you don’t regret that I nominated you for the super sweet blogger award! you deserve it for being so nice!
LOL…definitely tongue in cheek 🙂
Haa trust u to spin a haapie story from even the most morose prompt 😉
A very cheeky story. Fact or fiction?
Interesting concept! Love your writing:)) xo
Lovely short story!
I’m wondering if I should even add this to this discussion since not to many men have ventured into the discussion. haha
I’m thinking not 🙂 but had a a good laugh reading!
The quicker the experience, the more immediate the lessons. Did this woman ask for the clothes back?? I’m guessing not:)
