Rooted in 2026 - Word of the Year

Ending June More Rooted and Nourished

I wrote last week of how I had chosen ‘nourish’ as my theme for June. Looking back on the month, that choice seems truly divinely inspired.

As we close on June, I can see how I’ve spent time on taking care of my health needs – a routine check up, taking a vaccine, getting my long overdue dental work started.

I rested when I needed to – without any guilt. Just allowed my dysregulated self to breathe. Reading, watching some movies/ serials, and just being. I didn’t bother too much that I wasn’t writing.

This month, I enjoyed finding glimmers and sharing them on Instagram. It’s become a habit of gratitude that I’m enjoying.

These are my four words to end June. Would love to know what yours are.

The lovely Lisa of Lisa Notes follows up and motivates us regularly on our Word of The Year. This month, she asked us to take a midyear review and check if our word was still working for us. I can say that ‘Rooted‘ is working out just fine for me so far. I can feel myself making choices that are more meaningful and closer to my principles. Going deeper, is how I feel~

I’ve published a new newsletter on Substack. A quiet midyear pause. Not to assess or improve, but to notice what I’m carrying and name it with care. An invitation to slow down, pay attention, and step into the rest of the year more gently. You can go here to read it.

Do share how the first half of 2026 has been for you.

PS: You may have noticed that I’ve finally caught up on responding to comments from the start of the year. My apologies. I promise to be more regular!
