To Gratitude With Love: A Letter To The Silent Hero Of Everyday Life

This year, I plan to do a gratitude post every month (fingers crossed). It may not be a list of things that I’m grateful for each time. Sometimes it will be my just my thoughts on gratitude. Today, I wrote a letter to gratitude with love!

To Gratitude With Love

Dear Gratitude,

I’ve been meaning to write to you for a long time – not out of duty, but out of love.

You’ve been my quiet companion through so much. You’re the soft voice in my head that on difficult days reminds me, “Look around. See what you have. Feel it deeply.”

A simple cup of coffee on a sleepy morning becomes something to savour because of you. A silly joke, a nice meal, a walk, a warm shower – all these ordinary things, that I might otherwise take for granted turn into extraordinary gifts because of you.

In my hardest moments, you find a way to show up. When life feels heavy, you remind me of the strength in my breath, the resilience in my heart, and the life lessons hiding inside the challenges. You transform pain into growth and struggle into appreciation. You make life bearable—and even beautiful—when it feels anything but.

You’ve taught me to appreciate the people in my life more, and to say thanks to those who’ve made a difference – even if it’s just a tough lesson. You’ve shown me that love is all about being grateful for the people and things that make life worth living.

Gratitude, you’re not just a feeling. You’re a way of seeing the world. You helps me see there’s more than enough. Even in the most difficult times, you give me a sense of calm. You keep me grounded in the present moment and remind me that right now is all I need.

Today, with love, I promise to keep you close, continuing to appreciate the beauty of life through you. I’ll also be sure to recommend you to others and keep you in my heart wherever I go.

Forever yours

Corinne

Would you attempt to write a letter to gratitude too? 🙂
