What Do You Value?

extravagant.

“I hope you’re getting your bags packed,” said St Peter in my dream last night.

“So the time has come, has it?” said I. “My bags have been packed for a long time now.”

“I’m curious as to what you’ve got in them,” St Peter said.

“Oh, I’ll tell you. Silver, gold and few diamonds.” I said matter-of-factly.

“What?” he shrieked. “You’re bringing that stuff here? Don’t you know that the streets of heaven are lined with gold. There’s enough silver, gold and diamonds to last a lifetime.”

“A lifetime?” I smiled

“Oh, you know what I mean!” he said irritably.

“Relax old man”, I said.  “Silver are the hairs on my head reflecting all the experiences of my life. Golden are all the wonderful memories I have of a wonderful life. My relationships with a special few are my diamonds.”

  1. You’re rich Corinne and you’ll carry your wealth wherever you go, here on earth and beyond. Lovely write.

  2. Oh, yes.

Our memories and our relationships are the most valuable items of our life (unfortunately, not many of us realize that or we forget that realization for our carving or greed for materialistic things – which is what that happens most of the time).

Thank you for the post, Corinne!

  3. This was an awesome read Corinne. Thankfully I think St. Peter has recovered by now!! LOLOL!!

    Cheers, Jenn
