100 Words: Vertigo

He had a puzzled expression on his face when he asked : “Are you scared of heights?”

“Not at all,” she answered, mirroring his puzzled expression. “Why do you ask?”

“I just wondered why you keep refusing that promotion?”

“I’m not sure. But if I took it, my office would be on the ground floor. So I don’t understand your question.”

“Think about, sweetheart. You’re qualified, you’re experienced, you’ll be the CEO of your dream company. And yet you keep refusing the promotion every time it’s offered to you. You’re scared of rising to the top.  Aren’t you suffering from vertigo?

  2. Sometimes we allow fear to keep us from realizing our dreams. Pushing through the fear and self-doubt is the only way to move forward. Nice little piece of inspiration Corinne!
