In May, I looked closely at what being faithful means to me.
May gave me a lot of space. Space to slow down, to listen, to notice what usually gets overlooked when life feels loud or hurried.
Learning What Being Faithful Means To Me
It’s strange, but not feeling inspired this month ended up being the push I needed. Rather than pushing for progress or understanding, I focused on just being there. Showing up, authentically me. I’m realizing faithfulness is more about just showing up than trying to do more. It’s about sticking with the important things, even when the path is cloudy.
I felt a silent thankfulness throughout the month. I appreciate my body for telling me it was tired. For the times it told me, I just needed to chill and did! With José getting stronger and much more independepent, I had to re-learn how to let go and let him help. Grateful that he did. Doing little things like sharing pictures and quotes on Instagram or getting drawn right into a book – I’m grateful for the small, everyday moments that I enjoyed.
May felt like a month of just listening. I remembered that most of the time, life whispers, I just need to tune in. I need to treat paying attention as a sacred act. The month reinforced the idea is that a meaningful life is a slow one, built on awareness, kindness, and finding strength in everyday things.
May for me can be summed up in these four words:

In June, I’m going to focus on staying rooted (my Word of The Year), taking things slow, and finding joy in the everyday stuff and looking more deeply at what nourishes me.
Thank you for being here.

I love your four words and I think there are perfect for a lot of moments
in our life!
All the best in your Summer!❤️
Thank you, Suzana. I’m glad to be doing this exercise, it really helps me review the month. I hope you are having a great summer too.
I appreciate this insight, Corinne: “Rather than pushing for progress or understanding, I focused on just being there.” I tend to think I need to be stepping out of my comfort zone or pushing for this or that growth opportunity, but sometimes we need to just be. Period. And that is enough and plenty. I love the four words you summed it up with.
Thank you for your thoughtful comment, as always, Lisa. The pressure to always push or grow is so real, and sometimes just being is exactly what we need. I’m glad the words resonated with you.
