At the start of another week of hectic blogging, thanks to the Blogging from A to Z Challenge, it’s important to look back on the week that was and reflect. So here’s my third installment of ‘Anything Goes on Sunday‘.
Remember to pray
Last week, two of my blogging friends lost their fathers, both of who had been suffering for a while now. I don’t want to mention names, but I would ask you to remember to pray for these two special ladies and their families, please. Thank you.
Also, one can’t began to imagine the pain that the families of passengers on Malaysia Flight 370 have been going through. Not knowing is always so hard. Let us hope and pray that this situation is resolved soon.
100 Words on Saturday
This was something I first started here and then later moved to Write Tribe. Sadly, somewhere down the line, I stopped responding to my own prompts! Silly me. Today I’m happy to write about the greatest love of all.
I have found you in dusty corners of dark rooms
Beckoning to me, telling me you’re mine
I have seen you at crossroads
And heard you call my name.
I have heard friends speak of you
And at once been filled with longing
You have been my dearest companion
On many a lonely night
And you continue to be there for me
I have introduced you to friends
Spoken and written of you
I have reluctantly let you go
Only to be filled with remorse
When you returned abused.
You are and always will be
The greatest love of all.
Let’s see how well you know me. Guess who I’m talking about! 😉
Making Time To Read
Last year, I successfully managed to read some 130 odd books! This year, I targeted 200, but am falling way behind. I think I need to make more time for reading – only because I enjoy it so much. Do you make time to read?
Fast Company tells us How Busy People Make Time To Read – And You Can Too. Do read the article it’s most interesting!
Friends With Benefits
I love Ana Hoffman’s Weekly Marketing Skinny for updates on SEO and lots of other information to help me blog more smartly. What I appreciate about Ana is her personal touch – if you comment, she’ll answer. If she sees a pingback, she’ll comment. Thanks, Ana for being you!
Another helpful blogger is Delia of Blog Formatting. She has lots of useful tips on her blog – for example, how to add your blog tab to your Facebook page. Also, Delia regularly runs a Blog Commenting Weekend on her Facebook page. You can drop your link and find other bloggers too.
Psych Babbler has a great prompt up on her blog as part of The Writers’ Post Blog Hop. Do go have a read, write a post and link to her.
My two cents
And here’s my piece of advice for you (and myself) for the busy week ahead!
You know how this works – if you wrote a post today, link it here – and leave a comment! Have a good week people!

My prayers are with those friends who lost family, Corinne. And the Malaysian flight – most painful.
In that poem, you are talking about your heart.
I want you to know I love you.
Hugs,
Vidya
Thanks, Vidya. No, I was fooling around with the poem – it’s not my heart! 😉
Love you too.
Heartfelt condolences to the friends who lost their fathers.
About Flight 370: the uncertainty is definitely unbearable to the families.
I can’t easily guess what you’re talking about in your poem. I give up! You’ll tell us anyway.

There’s always a place in my heart for you, dear girl. However, the poem is about books!
I guess I need to make more time to read as well. I so enjoy it myself and have been rather lethargic.
My prayers are with the bereaved families. I hope they find peace.
Thanks for being you, for bringing so much in a single post for blog help and personal help.
I could not guess, who you’re talking about in the poem about “the greatest love of all”. Guess yourself? let us know too
Thanks, Kajal. You have so much going on – reading would be an indulgence, no? 🙂

Thanks, Pixie. Sad about the plane.
I’m talking about books – our common love! 😉
Books! Funny as I’d thought of writing about books too… 😀
Sorry to hear about your blogging friends’ fathers…keeping them in my thoughts…
Right you are, PB.
Thanks!
Keeping your friends in my thoughts….Losing a parent is a very difficult phase of life we all have to go through some day.
Yes, I too need to make more time for reading. Somehow I end up buying more books than I can read…that must change!
Thank you, Beloo!
All book lovers buy more books than we can read! 😉
Ha Ha… That was a sitter my dear lady…could get it in the second or third line knowing you as much as I do.

Ah! Smart girl you are, Shiva! 🙂
Sad to learn about the friends and their loss. All prayers for them. And also for MH370.

Prayers for the friends. May God give them strength.
Are you referring to Books?
Thank you. And yes, it’s books! 🙂
is it pet-love, say dogs? not sure whether you have one..
I love the heart felt writing like this.. combining various things together.. and not writing just on the prompts etc..lesson learned.. thanks 🙂
It’s books, Archana. And thank you!
Corinne, it’s an endearing, disturbingly beautiful and make the heart sank.My heart goes to the friends who lost their father and it’s never easy. The Malaysian airlines is tragic and sure looks fishy. Let’s all spare some thoughts for the passengers and families.
Thanks, Vishal.
I received that same advice before my first baby was born and it is advice that has served me well for years since. Take life one day at a time, one challenge at a time…and celebrate each completion and accomplishment! Loved your post for the greatest love of all…I will guess books?? ♥
Thanks, Kathy! You’re spot on with the guess! 🙂
What a lovely post. I love the way you combined the urgent (calling us to prayer) with your way of telling us about the talents offered by others here, (like you always do!) Then your own heartfelt words of beauty, coming from a beautiful HEART. Many blessings!
KayLou
Thank you, Kay Lou! I just read your post on silence and am so inspired! ♥
You are talking about books, aren’t you? 🙂
Right you are, Naba! 😉
Books!
Books!
BOOKS! xxx
BTW, I believe in the POWER of Prayer. Without it, I am nothing.
Right, right, right! 😉 Yes, what would we be without our prayer – no matter what form they take, Kim!
Thanks so much for the thumbs up, Corrine – you are too kind. Gave you a shout in my latest Marketing Skinny.
You’re a sweetheart, Ana! And a very smart one at that! Thank you.
Thanks so much for the shout out, Corinne, you are the sweetest!
PS. I loved the quote at the end, so precious!
You’re very welcome, Delia. You do work so hard at your blog and all you do. ♥
Glad you liked the quote.
