100 Words On Saturday 6

100WordsOnSaturdayEverydayGyaan

Introduced in February 2013 – an invitation, a prompt, a linky. Write exactly a 100 words on the prompt and publish it on your blog – a story, a poem, a mini-essay. The linky will be open right up to next Friday, after which I will have a new prompt and a fresh linky.

100 Words On Saturday 6 Prompt : I WAS BORN

tiny foot
I was born to be free,
Why did allow myself to be so tied up?
I was born to be loved,
Why did I become so needy?
I was born to be precious,
Why did I give myself away so cheaply?
One day I realized it was up to me
To change.
And then I was born again
With new eyes to see my own beauty
A new heart to love myself first
A new self that freed my old self
From pain, hurt, guilt
I was born to be free, loved and precious
I was born to be Me.

  3. Here is my very first entry, Corinne. I hope I can do this every week. 🙂
Loved your take. It is up to us to be reborn if need be.

  4. I love to think that we are (re)born everyday 🙂 Physically, perhaps, just one time…but the ‘metanoia’ is an invitation to be born again and again… The theme is so beautiful and so are your six words BS!

  5. Fabulously penned, Corinne! The picture just melted my heart. Indeed, reborn to see the beauty in me. Golden thoughts!
