Introducing Anything Goes on Sundays

I’m introducing a new bi-monthly meme here – Anything Goes On Sundays. I’ll be writing an update of things of all sorts of stuff – inspirations, events, experiences, links I recommend, etc. I invite you to add your links to the linky. What links? Links to any post you’ve written on that Sunday. The topic doesn’t matter. Remember, anything goes? 🙂 However, if you’re leaving a link, I’d like you to leave a comment as well. So here’s my first round up for this Sunday.

What’s In A Name?

Suzy Que, has a lovely prompt for The Writers’ Post Blog Hop 2014 #4 – Share with us why and how you chose the name of your blog and what it means to you.

How did I choose the name of my blog? I initially wanted to write everyday and have an Indian connect in the name – so I looked at ‘dailygyaan’ – the domain was available too, but I hesitated for two days and when I went back to claim it, it was gone! So I came up with ‘everyday gyaan‘ – with ‘everyday’ meaning ‘ordinary’ and not ‘daily’.  Six years later, I’m giving thanks that I didn’t get into daily blogging!

I was fortunate enough to spy a lovely blog hop by Michelle Wallace on the occasion of her blog completing three. The subject was ‘Ubuntu’ and I thoroughly enjoyed writing my post and reading the other posts on the hop. Do stop by at Samantha Readstreake Geary’s blog for a beautiful story that so well captures the essence of this philosophy.

The Language of Love contest on Write Tribe brought some great posts in – do read them. Also on Write Tribe, Claire McAlpine is doing a three part post on How To Write A Book Review and Why Anyone Can Do It.
