Happy Book Lovers Day #AnythingGoesOnSunday

I love books! They are, as someone said, portable magic!

This is how I spent the best part of the day today! Yes, I’m blessed and grateful!

It’s only this evening that I realized that it’s Book Lovers Day in the US. If you love books too, Happy Book Lovers Day to you!

I’ve shared some pictures of exquisite book shelves with you before. Today I’m going to share book related pictures with you. It’s only fitting!

Some lines that only book lovers will appreciate:

  • I met the man of my dreams last night..in Chapter 4!
  • At times I think to myself ‘Drop the book and get stuff done’. Then I laugh and turn the page.
  • I’m not addicted to reading, I can quit as soon as I finish the next chapter.
  • To read or not to read. Not even a question!
  • Book lovers never go to bed alone! 😉

Happy Book Lovers Day to you!

  1. I LOVE books too! I didn’t know it was Book Lover’s Day. I am totally addicted to books. I love to read to de-stress and relax. I carry a book wherever I go, you just never know when you’ll get tied up and need something to pass the time. 🙂

  2. I love books, the feel and smell of new books is lovely, but I also do like my kindle (older style) for the portability.

  3. I can never go to sleep alone without the book. I may read just a paragraph or a page or a chapter but i have to read before sleeping to get a sound sleep.I can accept people leaving my life but I cannot accept my books leaving me. Thank you for letting us know about the Book Lovers day.

  4. Oh Happy Books Lovers day to you too Corrine 🙂 Oh I cannot imagine a world without books..I’m always with one, always… I need to read, even if a few lines, before going to sleep at night..And on days that i can’t read I feel so bad! Love, love books!

  5. Books nurture me. Books comfort me. Books are my go-to friend and companion. Books open doors to different lives and different worlds. Books tell me I am not alone. What would I do without books? I shudder to think!

  6. Happy Book Lovers Day, Corinne. I love books though nowadays I am not reading as much as I would like, I still love books, a lot. 🙂

  7. I have always loved books corinne ! somehow I have lost track of getting to read the printed ones; with so much of information on net and preparing for my papers and having a lot of on line material has reduced my passion to buy books… I am wanting to rediscover my favourite past time… reading soon. nice to know that its book lovers day ! wishing you the very best.

  8. Happy reading for years to come, Corinne! I asked for the book you recommended me and I will go and pick it up today from the library. 🙂 Yes, nothing can beat the company of a good book. sometimes I wish my family disappears on a vacation or somewhere and all I could do is read 🙂

    1. Thank you, Latha. I have a few more recommendations. But the books I really get into usually have very intense emotions – I hope that’s okay with you.
I know just what you mean about making people disappear, so you have peace to read. Do keep me posted on how you liked ‘A Man Called Ove’.
