As I step into October, I am focusing on two qualities that feel important right now: bravery and strength. These are not just ideas—they are actions we take every day. Bravery is about showing up even when you feel unsure. Strength is about staying steady, taking care of yourself, and making clear choices.
Living Bravely And Staying Strong In October
This month, I am practicing bravery and strength in simple, practical ways:
- Speaking honestly, even when it feels uncomfortable
- Taking breaks and resting without feeling guilty
- Facing small fears and challenges intentionally
- Pausing to notice what I am grateful for each day
- Trying something new and being unafraid to say yes to new ideas.
- Staying grounded in my values in my interactions
- Showing up every day on the page.
For a long time, I doubted who I was and whether my voice mattered. But little by little, I’ve learned to stand stronger in my truth—to speak up, to set boundaries, and to let myself be seen.
Recently, I had to put that into practice. I found myself in a situation where I had to stand up to a few people and express my views honestly. It wasn’t easy—I had to speak my truth without worrying about what others might think. But I did it. Bravery and strength helped me find my voice and take each step forward with confidence.
Even small steps matter. Each choice to act with bravery, maintain strength, or practice gratitude builds confidence and helps you handle the next challenge.
Daily Affirmations for October
To stay focused on these qualities, I am using daily affirmations. They are simple statements that remind me of my intention and guide my actions.
Here are a few examples from this month:
“I live with bravery and stand strong in who I am.”
“I am brave enough to try, even when I feel uncertain.”
“My strength carries me through each day.”
“I notice and appreciate the small blessings in my life.”

A reminder to myself : Every day, I have the chance to show up, make decisions, appreciate what I have, and take care of myself. That is what bravery, strength, and gratitude look like in reality.

PS: I used AI to come up with my affirmations based on my theme of bravey and strength in October. You can create some for yourself too. You can read them in the morning, write them in a journal, or say them quietly to yourself throughout the day. Affirmations are not about avoiding challenges—they are reminders that you have the tools to face them.

Corinne – As usual, your words were just what I needed to hear. This was a really stressful writing 2 weeks for me. I needed your words and affirmations TODAY.
Thank you and keep on doing what you do. It Means so much. I appreciate so much the recharge.
I’m so glad that they spoke to you, Pauline. Thank you for letting me know. I hope your week got better and this one will be great!
I learnt to ‘practise gratitude’ after I started reading your posts, Corinne. Now, when I’m even walking down the street, and stopping by to have an ice-cream, suddenly my heart fills with a sense of gratitude. This freedom and safety is a dream for people in some parts of the world, isn’t it? I thank the Lord for all the beautiful gifts I have… those which I took for granted, earlier.
To be able “to speak the truth without worrying what others might think” is something I still have to work on, Corinne. I realize that I’m still not brave and strong enough…
Taking little steps of courage everyday and building up on them makes a real difference in authentic living. I have to learn the courage to speak up my mind to the people who need to hear my voiced opinions but the trouble is since they never had the ability to hear me right, I gave up on speaking entirely. Like Madhavi, gratitude found a way into my life only after reading your posts all those years back. Joining the gratitude circle hosted on your blog and Vidya Sury’s opened up my horizon greatly.
I also use AI to come up with affirmations every now and then for the things I need to work on and heal from.
I admire you for showing up every month with such clear intentions and values, Corinne. It’s so inspiring that I want to try doing the same for myself. I am so grateful for you.
