There’s more to life than being a passenger. – Letters to the Dead

11 Simple Best Life Practices

11 Simple best life practices you need to follow

#1 Start and end your day with gratitude

Start and end your day with gratitude and prayer. Spending a few minutes in the morning in gratitude and prayer means you start the day accepting where you are at the moment. At night it means surrendering everything you cannot do or control and giving thanks for the day that was.

#2 Mind Your Manners

Say ‘Thank you” to those who helped you. Say “sorry” to those whom you’ve offended. Say “please” when you ask for favour, big or small it may be.

#3 Disconnect to Connect

Disconnect. Spend at least one day a week away from your gadgets. Disconnect from the digital world so you can reconnect with the real world. Most importantly, so you can reconnect with your inner self.

#4 Write Your Heart Out

Keep a journal. Record your triumphs so you can read through how victorious you were when things become difficult. Record your lessons learned when things didn’t go your way so you can be wiser. Another option is doing Morning Pages.

#5 Minimize

Give away what you don’t need. The clothes that have been hanging in your closet for a long time now, your old toys or books collecting dust in the shelves, everything you own that you don’t use anymore; someone else might be in need of it. Give them away.

#6 Stay Hydrated

Drink lots of water. Water is the most underrated, underestimated source of health and nutrition. Drinking water is very beneficial to your health as your body is up to 60% water.

#7 Dare Greatly

Dare to do something you’re afraid of. It doesn’t mean you have to climb a mountain or anything quite so dramatic. It might be something as simple as painting, taking a class you’ve been putting off, talking to someone you need to reconcile with.

#8 Divore Drama

Walk away from toxic people. You don’t need to subscribe to unnecessary dramas. Life’s too short to carry other people’s burdens.

#9 Be Positive

Adopt a positive mindset. You will go through life’s difficulties. That’s a given. How you react to it is a choice only you can make.

#10 Plan, But Stay Flexible

Stick to your plans but be flexible with your deadline. Not all things work out on the day or through ways you want them to.

#11 Make Kindness The Norm

Be kind. Kindness is a quiet gentle force that can shake the world.

Life is simple, and you don’t need rocket science to figure out how to live it properly. Go back to the basic rules in life. Keep it simple. It is the simple best life practices that makes life grand.

Can relate with all your points, corinne. However what struck me the most was divorce drama.. Walk away from toxic people. I have seen that more often than not its the close people in your life who are the most toxic and hence it becomes difficult to walk away from them. But we must for good living.
